With just a few days to go, here is some useful information for those of you planning to come to the Reach Valley Gravity Grand Prix by car.
Free car parking will be available in Church Field, which can be accessed via Ringmer on the C113 road (passing by Glyndebourne). This will lead you to Lacys Hill and the entrance to Church Field. Please use this route rather than enter Glynde via the A27 entrance, as there will only be limited street parking available in Spring Gardens.
Of course, the racing track passes right by the railway station in Glynde, so the train is a great way to get here. For travel information visit:
Of course, we need to close the road for a day of exciting Gravity racing, stalls and attractions on the Recreation Ground. So in case you are wondering how to get to the event or how you may be affected if you live in the village, here is some useful info.
There will be free car parking available for visitors to the Reach Valley Gravity Grand Prix, this will be signposted on the day.
The road closure and course will be the same as last year, so the area will need to be free of parked cars by 7am on the Sunday morning. ViIlagers will be able to move their cars to the parking fields the night before. If you’ll need vehicular access to the streets shown in red on the map during the road closure (7am until 8pm), please get in touch asap so we can make arrangements. if you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
From a sizzling BBQ to vintage ice creams, there will be a host of tasty food available at this years event, including Alfresco Fish n Chips, Indian food from Himalia Patel, Pinks Vintage Ice Cream Van, a Tea Tent offering cakes & teas plus the Glynde, Beddingham & Firle Memorial Parade will be cooking up their legendary BBQ….so make sure you get down to the recreation ground on 11th September from 12 noon onwards!
